Think Creatively! Some of the creative things on my collage are a map of the country they travel to, blood to show how the war killed many that were an important part of the boy’s lives and fire to show how hellish it was when they attacked the boy’s village.

Reason Critically! I tried to use mages of war to show the hard time in their life and then use the images of Peter in high school to show that they refuse to give up and fight on until they finally found a peaceful place to continual their life. Their work pay off when a few were sent to the US to get education and come back to help the other.

Communicate Effectively! My collage shows the hard life they have. How they lost everything their home, friend, belonging and family. This will tell everyone their story and hopefully some will be kind enough to help them.

Live Ethically! I think that this would make people have empathy for the lost boys because they have to live a hard life, leaved their country, work for themselves and family, get use to the new couture and get education.

Ideas and Content

  • In what ways does your writing demonstrate appropriate ideas and content? Provide examples.
  • In what ways could you improve your writing to better express your ideas and enhance content? Be specific.

I think that in my Alchemist essay I show better ideas and understanding than in my Julius Caesar essay. I understand the story more and could explain what happen. For example I think I did a good job showing that Santiago destiny is the main idea of the story. I think that if I understand Julius Caesar better I will be able to show the hidden idea in it better.

Organization

  • In what ways does your writing demonstrate appropriate organization? Provide examples.
  • In what ways can you improve your writing to demonstrate superior organization? Be specific.

My writing show organization because it’s divided in to paragraph that fit the transition from the paragraph before it. This helps me because I know which paragraph is which. However there is still room for improvement. I will improve my organization by planning and drafting more. By doing this I can make writing an essay easy.

Personal Growth

  • Do you note any improvement between your Alchemist essay and your Julius Caesar essay? Why or why not?

My Alchemist essay is better than my Julius Caesar essay therefore there is no improvement. The reason that there is no improvement is because for the Alchemist essay there are a lot more planning and draft than the Julius Caesar essay. I also think that the other reason there is no improvement is because Julius Caesar is harder to understand than Alchemist. I think that if the story is easy to understand than it will be easier to write about.

SLR Reflection

  • Choose one SLR and discuss how you access this SLR when crafting an essay.

I think that when I write an essay the SLR I use most would be think creatively. This is because I have to think about everything we put into the writing. Thinking creatively will also help me make good judgment so I would know if I need to change something. I believe that thinking creatively will help me make good writing that keep on getting better and better.

Antony

Antony’s loyalty is the motivation that started the bloody war against the conspirators. His loyalty for Caesar never changes even after Caesars death. “When Caesar says, ‘do this,’ it is perform’d.” Act 1 scene 2 10. This indicates that Antony wills always serve under Caesar and only take orders from Caesar. After Caesar’s death Antony’s rage builds up inside him and he takes his revenge against the conspirators by building up an army, hoping to kill them. Antony is motivated to revenge Caesar because of his loyalty to him and his commitment to the Roman people.

Antony’s loyalty to Caesar comes from his love for Caesar and seen the conspirator kill Caesar so Antony avenge Caesar by leading an army against Brutus and Cassius who are the only conspirators who is alive. At first Antony befriend the conspirators so that they are unaware of his true intention, which is to find a way to take revenge for Caesar. “Pardon me, Julius! Here wast thou bay’d, brave hart; Here didst thou fall; and here thy hunter stand, sign’d in thy spoil, and crimson’d in thy lethe … Cassius: Mark Antony – Antony: Pardon me, Caius Cassius: the enemies of Caesar shall say this; then in a friend, it is cold modesty.” Act 3 scenes 1 204 – 214. Antony plan work because he got help from the roman people. By successfully convinces the people to kill the conspirators he has got an army that is ready to attack on command. With an army he is ready to make Caesar wish come true. “… Caesar’s spirit, ranging for revenge, with ate by his side come hot form hell, shill in these confines with a monarch’s voice cry havoc and let slip the dog of war.” Act 3 scenes 1 line 270-273. Antony believe that Caesar will come back to command the army to seek revenge for him.

Antony thirst for revenge comes from Caesar death. When Caesar die Antony feel like he lost direction, leadership and a good friend. This made him seek out the conspirator and kill off each person one by one. “A curse shall light upon the limb of man; domestic fury and fierce civil strife shall cumber all the part of Italy;” Act 3 scene 1 262 – 264. Antony love for Caesar is greater than his love for his country. He would get revenge for Caesar even if it cost were a peaceful Italy.
